The consultation in general practice.

TODAY is a stimulating time for general practice because, more than ever before, doctors and related workers are thinking how this branch of medicine must progress and develop in the next few years. There are those who are sceptical of any need for change, and yet we imagine very few general practitioners are entirely satisfied with the state of affairs as it exists today. And if we are not satisfied then it behoves us to enquire why, and moreover to enquire further in what way we can constructively take steps to improve it. It is important thereforethat we endeavour to look objectively at what we are doing.
